Question: What's the difference between vegetarian and vegan?
Answer: Vegetarians don't eat meat, fish or 'slaughterhouse byproducts' (e.g. gelatine, animal fats), vegans don't eat meat, fish, slaughterhouse byproducts or products that come from animals (e.g. dairy products, eggs, honey)
Question: Why should I become vegetarian/vegan?
Answer: Loads of reasons! One is because it's cruel to kill animals for food when we have other options; It's good for the environment, as farming animals doesn't take as much room or resources or produce as much methane (one of the greenhouse gases); The world population is growing, so obviously, we'll need more food, and we simply don't have the space to feed every human on this planet with meat; and others.
Question: But don't humans need to eat meat?
Answer: No! When humans first evolved, they didn't eat meat, it's only in more recent years that they have. Our bodies aren't actually designed to digest meat either.
